If you look closely at the top picture of Trakanon, he now has some little dents and punctures in his scaley armor. WE inflicted those last Friday ..... and we plan to make them bigger and deeper!!

The added folks with Trak access (and Myths) made for a very successful raid(s) last Friday. We were a few folks short at the start, although the mix of classes was superb. We went to Shard of Hate for a couple hours while we waited for the last few to log in...... and it was a very happy day for the healers. Some of the best SoH loot was dropped, including the Rune Etched Helm.  When we went into Trak's Lair at around 10:15 EST it was the alliance's third time entering the zone and we ended up gettting him down to 60% on our best attempt. And this was with many folks being there for the first time. Curing and watching for the "hourglass" is still the biggest hurdle ... but practice should make perfect. Our goal is still to take him down before the expansion comes out in February. Trakanon is DEAD ... ... and our alliance made him that way! Many thanks to the folks that attended the raid and stuck through the almost 4 hours that it took to learn and perfect the fight. It was a thing of beauty .... especially the 25 minutes of sitting dead and watching the outstanding job the main tank group did in bringing Trak down to 4 % by themselves. (Never in the history of Norrath has 18 players watched the health and power bars of 6 players SO intently... for so long ) It was only the 4th or 5th time we have entered Trak's lair and to kill him in so few attempts is a credit to our alliance and its smart players. GREAT JOB ALL !! Onward and upward !! |
