Palace of Roehn Theer & Lair of the Dragon Queen raid - 2010-04-23

We had an awesome raid last night!  We killed the first named in Palace of Roehn Theer (Lieutenant Buldoral) and the first two named in Lair of the Dragon Queen (Wyvernlord Tuluun and Wyrmlord Zaos).

We also found out we will need to get everyone better resist gear.  It seems the new minimum to survive the AOEs from Azara the Seer is around 18,000.  There are new mastercrafted pieces that add around 8,000 when you have the 3-piece set.

I can make the pieces for whoever needs them.  There are three sets, for each of the resist types.

I think crit mitigation will help too.  There is a ton of confusion on the flames boards regarding crit mitigation versus resists.  Part of this is caused by ACT not registering hits as criticals if you have enough crit mitigation to eliminate the hit.  That is, if the mob crits an extra 75% damage and you have 80% crit mitigation (75-80 is less than zero) then the hit is not registered as a critical.   IMHO this has led people on the boards to think resists are the more important component as I've seen a lot of claims that the mobs no longer crit but still hit hard.

Regardless, the seer has a very hard hitting AOE and the secret to that fight is making sure *everyone* can survive the AOE.

All of the sets have brellium and either:  arcane, noxious or elemental in the name.

I know for the arcane there is a signet, and earring - and I can't remember the other.

When I get home I will post a screen capture.

I haven't played the game in 2 days ...... I am feeling a little twitchy! ;-)  I will be home tonight --- thank goodness!!

brellium arcane signet
brellium arcane bracelet
brellium arcane stud

The noxious and elemental are the same names - just insert one or the other instead of arcane:
