Hello

Nexona is the last mob I need to get Crax her Myth..........do you think that I will get a shot at raid slot tonight?

I ask in advance because (as I think you know) I am based in England and this means a raid start time of around 1.30am and, for obvious reasons, I don't want to be hanging around until the early hours of the morning if there isn't a realistic chance of a raid slot  Grin.

Thanks,
Crax

The last time we went after Nexona I remember our strategy was a little different from this one. Are we just looking to get familiar with this fight? or are we changing our strategy to this one?

Although our attempt on Nexona last night was ultimately unsuccessful we learnt a lot and I believe it was very useful.

As Uged absolutely correctly pointed out during the raid our DPS on the adds was falling a long way short of what was needed.

My own DPS figures were massively down on what I would normally expect to see.......why was this? Well this was my first attempt at Nexona (and I think also for a number of others) and it always takes me a number of "practice" runs to learn a new encounter, particularly in the case of a complex fight like this one. There is a lot to absorb and, speaking for myself, I start out being confused by the chaos but then slowly get my act together with each attempt as my limited brain power slowly learns the sequence of events, where I need to move next and what I should be hitting etc. Whilst I am going through this learning process my DPS is pretty woeful but it definately does get better with each run.

Having multiple wipes is annoying but, tbh, I think we maybe abandoned a little too early. All the strategies I have read for this fight emphasise the need to practice, practice, practice so that the whole raid force reacts instinctively to the progress of the fight..........and at the moment I (and I suspect quite a number of others) are at the stage where we are still having to think "what happens next and where do I need to be". Until we work through this phase our DPS will fall short but ought to steadily improve as we learn.

Looking at our DPS for other fights we certainly have the firepower to beat Nexona and I simply think we need to give ourselves a chance to get more comfortable with the complications & demands of this particular encounter..................so when are we having another shot at her??

Cheers,
Crax

It's been almost a month since I posted here ... I'm thinking it is time to go back and do it again... maybe schedule a two night raid?  One to go in and clear to Nex.. and then the next night to work Nex strat... and then if we get it, 2nd wing will be open to us for the next week or so...

I would suggest the two night raid with some possible dates, and do sign ups from the web site.  A Thursday/Friday combo seems ,at first thought, to be a good idea.  We usually do WoE Thursday, but for one week we could switch it.  Seems to me we might be able to get a more prepared raid force if we spent a couple weeks in preperation for that fight... we could use the posts to fill positions as people say they are or aren't available... etc...

Just throwing an idea out there for the GLs Smiley
